The Legally BLK Fund Scholarship launches annually on Juneteenth (June 19th).
The annual Legally BLK Fund Scholarship provides a $1,000 scholarship award to Black women applying to law school. LBF fellows also receive free law school admissions consulting, mentorship, subsidized LSAT group tutoring, and more, while joining a growing community of like-minded Black women.
Applicants must be (1) self-identifying Black women (2) college students or graduates (3) based in the United States and (4) applying for entry into law school in the next two to three years.

Applicants must be (1) self-identifying Black women (2) college students or graduates (3) based in the United States and (4) applying for a Fall 2025, Fall 2026 or Fall 2027 entry into law school. Applicants should have a financial need, be passionate about the law and and be committed to paying it forward.
There is NO age, GPA or LSAT requirement for the scholarship.

Applicants must complete the application form which includes the following: Personal Details, Resume, Headshot, Undergraduate Transcript, Responses to 3 short answer questions (300 word limit each).

July 03, 2024: Application Closes at 11:59 pm EST
July 31, 2023: Decisions made and applicants notified.
September 2024: Welcome Meeting for Scholarship Recipients

Scholarship recipients must attend check-in meetings with members of the LBF team, attend at least 75% of the monthly virtual workshops, and use the scholarship in connection with the law school application process.
